Kentucky Association of Chiropractors Political Action Committee

KAC-PAC " Your Voice In Frankfort"

Thank you for your interest in the Kentucky Association of Chiropractors Political Action Committee, or KAC-PAC.  As with any industry, ours annually faces its own opportunities and challenges at the legislative level in Kentucky.  The PAC is comprised of six very dedicated doctors of chiropractic who volunteer their time in conjunction with the KAC governmental affairs committee to monitor any bill on the floor of the Kentucky legislature which may impact our profession.  The effect a piece of legislature can have on our profession can be helpful like the DOT bill which includes chiropractor as one of the providers that can perform DOT physicals.  Or, it can be detrimental such as when the law changed in Florida limiting personal injury patient’s access to chiropractic care in that state.  Either way, our PAC exists to identify these bills and put support and awareness behind or against them so that chiropractic patient’s access to your services is protected by state law.

What can you do?  Well, it is critical that we have your help.  While support for our patients and the profession of chiropractic in Frankfort can be generated in a number of ways, fundraising is a vital part of the equation.  The KAC-PAC is not asking you to take time out of your office like they do to travel to Frankfort once a year but we do ask for your financial contribution.

Going forward, please budget at least $10 monthly toward protecting our profession legislatively. It’s just $120 annually and it can make all the difference.   At the KAC-PAC, we don’t envision a scenario where a few Kentucky doctors are carrying the political load for the entire state.  Instead, we encourage all Kentucky chiropractors to contribute small, palatable contributions and together we can not only protect but promote and expand access to chiropractic care in the Commonwealth.

Please remember all PAC contributions are not TAX DEDUCTABLE and must be made with personal funds. No corporate checks or credit cards are allowed per Kentucky Statute.

Every man owes a part of his time and money to the business or industry in which he is engaged. No man has a moral right to withhold his support from an organization that is striving to improve conditions within his sphere.   - Theodore Roosevelt
